A few years ago, his son had to carry him everywhere. The open wounds from his leprosy wouldn't allow him to walk.
No more. Now he cruises everywhere in the village. So much so, he's walked holes in the special boots we found for him. I looked in Leh for another pair - waterproof, warm and gentle on his feet. No luck.
But I'm in Canada for a few weeks. Surely someone here has an extra pair they could let go of... Everyone in Canada also appreciates boots that are waterproof, warm and gentle on feet.
