"Abi Sintik," I hear "School food isn't as good as Winter Camp food was." "Abi-ley, there's still ice but we can't skate anymore." "Don't let our sponsors forget us. Please make sure they come again next year."
The people of Bow Valley checked their garages, that stinky school locker room and a few attics and came up with enough gear for use to support the happiest Winter Camps 350 kids had ever experienced.
Read what Ladakh Drayangs wrote about their camp (and it's impact) in the local Ladakh newspaper:
Is your garage harbouring old hockey gear your kids have outgrown? Is that Lost and Found bin in the school locker room filled with gear? Or maybe there's an old laptop or notebook that would help the kids in all their afternoon activities - making their own movies, practicing English and learning to type.
Get in touch with us. We've got posters you can put up and information how the gear can go from Ottawa to Delhi (for free!), arriving in time for Winter Camp 2015.
